Take a step back from what you are doing and notice. What is going on?
That’s the simplest coaching tool: noticing.
Coaches use the term building awareness. After being coached, the most common thing people cite is that they are more aware. Practicing awareness is noticing.
In my coaching, noticing is the most common tool I use. I will ask about what you have noticed, trying to get you to go deeper within yourself. When trying to learn more about any topic, the common homework is to notice what is going on.
