About

My Coaching Story

In 2002, my job with EPA was to support local watershed groups. When I learned how critical the groups’ leaders were to their success, I looked for a way to help the leaders with their challenges. That’s when I became a coach, taking all five courses offered by the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) between 2003 and 2005. What I learned during my initial coaching was that coaching works. It can help leaders find better balance and become better leaders, and persevere to stick with their jobs. It can allow you to put your challenges into a different and more effective perspective.

I love being a coach. It is challenging and fun. I have now worked with over 70 clients and counting, and my coaching makes a difference in my clients’ lives. I have been in my own business since 2006.

During 2009, I made a renewed commitment to coaching, and took CTI’s Certification course, a six-month intensive training and testing process. The learning has totally changed my coaching, and its impact on my clients. My deeper understanding of my impact as the Coach and of the tools available to move you toward change makes for much more powerful coaching.
